Impact of Source and Method of Potassium Application on Dry Matter Accumulation and Partitioning of Potassium in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

The experiment was carried out to assess dry matter accumulation and potassium partitioning in submerged rice upon application of three organic salts, viz., citrate (KC), gluconate (KG), humate (KH), inorganic salt, sulfate (KS). Treatments included recommended dose (RDF-K, 60 kg ha−1) via foliar or soil KS, alone combination with salts (KC, KG, KH), split doses at phenological stages, tillering, panicle initiation, early flowering. Solely K resulted 76% uptake straw compared 13% grain, which diminished internal use efficiency (IUE) partial factor productivity (PFP) K. Conjoint KS (half RDF-K as application) KH spraying) obtained highest grain significantly enhanced IUE PFP performed best among the different used root N P uptake.
